This is what my family and I look like!

I saw it in a trivia thingie. It's English as I recall. I could google it and look intelligent but I'll leave it up to you to refresh my memory, and Homecook's.
it's what english bar keeps said to patrons mind your P's And Q's - pints and quarts of ale so they don't get to drunk. OR thats what i heard!!

chatting with peep about the old days hiking and canoeing in harriman state park in upstate ny got me to looking for some old pics.

these are circa 1991. about 30 pounds ago. btw, that's omega boy posing with a beer at dusk on the upper right. and that's my boat "swee' pea". i took the seats out and put in beach chairs, and added a trolling motor. great fishing vessel.

dont think i have ever seen a mullet that far north ...
and in its natural habitat also ...
what a great sighting ...

thanks chow. i would love to go hiking with les stroud, just to pick his brain about everything. he and bear grylls.

buzz, nothing was going to be coming out of my clothing that night, for fear that it might freeze up and break off.

and lol, love2. hey, don't make fun of my mullet. it wasb the style back then. just wait until today's kids see pics of themselves in the distant future. talk about bad hair days...

Those are wonderful pics, BT! It looks like a paradise. And don't worry about your mullet - I hear they're coming back....

BTW Who is that in the canoe?

I'd almost forgotten that story. You were young, and the young are supposed to lose their car keys, and their shorts....
nahhhhhhhhhhhh wasn't gonna happen!! but it was tough trying not to drown what with what i was doing in the water with someone in an innertube!! :in_love: talk about slippery when wet!!

Peep, did you post a recent picture of you? If you did, would you please post a link to it?

If not, please do! I think I am picturing someone else when I see your name!

I'm sure I've posted pictures of me on this forum somewhere, but in case they are hard to find, here's one on a recent Kentucky Derby Day.

WooHoo, Lee! You are sooo pretty. And that is exactly how I have always pictured you - in your lush, green back yard with a great hat. Cheers to you, too, girlfriend!

Love it!
You've got the hat. You've got the mint julep (it looks like).
And you've got the nice smile saying you're enjoying the day!

no i haven't posted any recent pics of myself. i don't have any. i am camera shy these days. i look the same as in the old pics just an old, fat hag version!! LOL i miss the young me!!

thats a nice pic of you!! have a drink for me!!

Thank you for the sweet words, friends!

Terry, LOL, the "lush" yard (no pun, right????) I'm always embarrassed about that shot, that it has all the storage stuff in the background. I wish I knew how to crop photos effectlively.

I HAVE replaced some of the shabby stuff you see, and here's a photo of the adjacent yards in my townhouse complex. The man you see reading in the picture is QBro, my brother, Rob.

The sunflowers in the foreground were self-seeded and were growing out of a giant bolder at the edge of the property.

My neighbors and I have a substantial container garden along the fence (right side of the picture) as well as on our patios (left).

LOL! I wasn't referring to that pic of the yard, althoug it isn't bad. You've posted some amazing pics of your garden that I have pored over many times. Not only are you growing some wonderful produce, it looks gorgeous. It's obvious someone (you) spends a lot of time carefully tending to such a wonderful garden. That's why I picture you in it!

I love the sunflowers, too. (And QBro looks pretty good, himself!)

Peep, it's okay to be camera-shy, but you have a bunch of friends here, and friends don't think of friends as "old hags".

I know that I cherish my dear friends, and the added wrinkles, the increasing gray hairs, the added pounds .... none of it makes one bit of difference to us!

We accept you no matter what.

Lee
