I guess I'm having Panda Express orange chicken and fried rice.
I got a Mother's Day surprise 😁

I made a bowl out of a flour tortilla for this.
Added lettuce, shrimp - which I lightly sauteed in olive oil and Old Bay seasoning, orange bell pepper and radish match sticks, green onion, then a drizzle of Secret Sauce and sprinkles of cilantro.
I ate most of the filling out, then folded the rest over like a big soft taco lol
This was fun to make, and eat!

Not much of a shrimp fan, but I love everything else about this idea!

A couple weeks ago I made 8 duck legs confit in the sous vide. Well. I put all 8 in two layers, in one bug bag. Now that I got around to opening the bag, most of them are pretty well mushed together. I managed to separate 6 pretty well intact, but the last 2 fell apart. So I covered the 6 in duck fat in separate bags, and use the ugly 2 for dinner tonight.

I made a gastrique with Grand Marnier and orange and served the meat (sans crispy skin) with parsnip puree. Not very pretty, but melt-in-your-mouth good.

Hot day today so a Chef's Salad was just the ticket!

In my grandmother's old wooden salad bowl. I made hundreds of salads in that bowl for my family, when I was growing up!

(Oops, forgot to hit the "post" button last night.)
