Pretzel bread

My friends and I ordered this appetizer at a restaurant this past week and we all loved it!

I've tried making soft pretzels a couple of times, with disappointing results.

This looks easier to make, but I don't have a recipe.

Nancy made these pretzel buns tonight for our Oktoberfest BBQ Saturday.

Tomorrow I pick up 20 brats from Stewart’s Meats and we bought 12 white
brats at commissary.

She made red herring today and will make beer cheese Sat. I’ll post the complete
menu tomorrow night.

They look awesome. Can you please post recipes for pretzel buns and beer cheese when you get the chance?

Yes, i am a german, yes we do have Brezel.

If you want to, we can talk about origin and recepies.
The two pictures contain one Laugenbrezel and one Laugenbrötchen

But i have to rant a little bit but in a fair and nice way:
Dont buy this sh!t if you dont know where it comes from.
Buy it from a VERY good bakery.
No walamrt, no tesko, no wholesales 20 pieces a bag discount, no 50 pieces a box deep frozen and ready to murder the already dead dough in the oven, no chewy brezel from a gasstation that got re-baked because nobody bought the day before, no nothing.
Buy it fresh and by fresh from said bakery or if you are really that confident and have the experience to make a VERY good dough, go for it.

dont worry, i am.

But here is a very big problem.
I started to recognize a pattern a couple years ago. So many bakerys are getting bankrupt and closing because they lowered their quality or even switched entirely to industrial made bread. And believe it or not, people taste the difference.
