Its Sunday.. whats for dinner

That surely LQQKS Good Sherman......
I am taking notice of those cooking pots...
They surely don't make em like that today.
That is the best way to cook roasts..... I M O

C C .....the Ham looks great... Can you have just the sweet tater? With butter? ...>?? My wifes uncle micro waves and adds cinnamon and butter with a little splenda. He is a type 2.

Thanx.

That pot is still availible, believe it or not.

I got several cooking vessels in cast iron, and they are truly unbeatable for old fasioned cooking the slow or fast way! :cooking:

i took a piece of fish (cod) from the freezer last nite.
i'd made chilean sea bass w/ diced tomato, portobello, & onion pretty recently that was delicious. think i'll duplicate that w/ the cod. pasta & veggies of some sort~

There were no yums...lips smackin..or finger lickins....
DW bought hot wings from some place in the mall yesterday..
I put the oh around 12 of them on a rack in the toaster oven at 325ºF to crisp and dry them out. I will not eat wet chicken.

The chicken was flat tasting..not hot enough...and I got 1/4 cup of oil that driped off in the baking pan. Yuuk!

We had scambled eggs with pan fried potatoes and onions in them and buttermilk blue can "whack um" biscuits. No pics

made speghetti and meatballs!! I used 80% hamburger (1 lb) and ground pork (it was just over 1/2 lb) --made them small...sauce came out really good! and the meatballs too!:a1:
also made apple pie---something off a tad--don't make it often-needs a little more sugar and cinnamon......and I need to cut the apples thicker so they are not mushy....oh well--I liked it!
just trial and error---like everything else in cooking!!

Good looking ham you baked there, Barb.
Delish pot roast, too, Sherman. Never paired up sweet potatoes with raisins but that's a combo that would work in my book. Yum!
Everyone's meals sound delicious.

I made meat sauce over spaghetti with a tossed salad today.

Thanx, Nancy!

Your meal doesn't look shabby at all either!! Makes me now want to make some spaghetti!

Celebrated eldest daughter's boyfriends 21 birthday w/ grilled T-bone steaks, corn on the cob, roasted baby red potatoes/onions & sauted chanterelle's

Sitting here..blabbing to myself, and making a shopping list for food items. Just little things we need like Butter. It's on sale Hotel Bar 1.99 or Kellers same price.

Well DW said..Gee,"Hows about a PB&J...!"

Just had one on bread...and some on crackers. Like 8.

"Just a little Bedtime Snack!"

No wonder I see Rats on my Bed at night.
The other night,... I woke up at like 3 am...trying to get my bedroom slippers on; because I had to get the Gun to shoot a rat that was on DW's pillow and sleeping.
Geeze...10 seconds later..I looked back to her pillow, and there was no Rat. I was just having a Ratty Dream!
Huh! Good thing I didn't shoot the pillow! What the heck would I tell the police if they came? Yeah! DW's pillow was gonna bite me; so I shot it!..HELLOooooooooo!

Made my first real live pot roast, believe it or not!

dinner here~

These all look so good. It's 5:35 AM and I want dinner!! Nice meals and wonderful pictures Nan, Kim and luvs.

Well, the pheasant turned out very well. Since it wasn't a wild bird, the flavor was very mild, but the wine braising sauce (with a hint of fresh rosemary) took care of that. Served it with my roasted mixed root vegetables (potatoes, carrots, garlic, onion, & turnips with their sauteed greens).:)
