🍴🍛What's For Dinner? Sunday August 10 - Saturday 16 2025🍲🍴

I pulled a package of Crock Pot Salisbury Steak from the freezer. We'll have that along with taters, for sure, the rest, unsure... :ROFLMAO:

That looks good… I’ve only had two cocktails in the last three weeks. I’d love a Grey Goose.

Tonight was the fish fry at Black Bear and again could only eat two pieces. Their coleslaw is house made and bland. I kicked it up with malt vinegar. I had almost three cups of coffee and will pay for that tonight.

I don’t know that I mentioned it but have afib (and low grade CHF) which started in February. I’m worn out all the time, short of breath, and don’t feel like doing much of anything. I’ve had wine and a few old fashioned but understand alcohol doesn't help. I’ve cut back on caffeine, as well, and mix coffee grounds half and half. Wednesday I go in for a chemical cardioversion and hope it works. The cardiologist never addressed the CHF when I saw him last week. All my bloodwork was fine except that which is affected by taking eloquis. There you go… I’d still like a grey goose.

I hope they find a reasonable solution for you quickly. 🤕

In the mean time, I like my story better. 😜;)

Well, that all bites, especially for someone like you who appreciates a good cocktail! I echo Kathy's wishes!

As for mushrooming, I've been several times this hot, dry, summer - so far, not even toadstools!

Friend Babs and I made our annual trek to a great craft fair in Gloucester. Then went for our annual clam plates at Woodman 's. They are now $45 with the tax.

The clams are hot, fresh and delicious as always. Fries and onion rings are spectacular. I ate less than half - Kathy gets the rest.

I’d love to come up there and share a plate of that with you.

I too have Afib, mine is caused by a floppy mitral valve which was diagnosed at the tender age of 22 so I’ve had this a long time!
I love my wine….especially dry reds. Anything stronger than wine makes me go into the fast flutter and skipped beats which are not comfortable as you know.
