Easy Peach Cobbler
Serves 8
Print Recipe
Ingredients:
6 Tbsp (3/4 cup) melted, unsalted butter

1 cup flour

1 1/4 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 1/2 cups sugar (separated)

1 cup milk

1 29 oz can sliced peaches in syrup*

cinnamon, optional
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375.
Pour butter into 13 x 9 baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add 1 cup sugar and milk. Mix to combine.
Pour batter over butter (do not stir). Pour sliced peaches, with juices, on top of batter (do not stir).
Pour 1/2 cup of sugar evenly over top of mixture in the dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired.
Bake at 375° for 45 - 60 minutes or until golden brown. Serve cobbler warm or cool, topped with ice cream or without.
*If it's peach season, and you'd like to use fresh peaches, you certainly can. First, you'll need to
to peel, pit and slice approximately 5 fresh peaches. Bring 1 cup sugar, peach slices, and a Tbsp of lemon juice to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Use this in place of the canned peaches in the recipe.

8x8 baking dish.
I drizzled maple syrup over it at the end.
This was fantastic!

Awww, you are a good grandmother!

I find everything a pain in the butt on a cell phone, except to ask Google a verbal question and to navigate to a location.

Never giving up my laptop!

I found this on Facebook and almost the same as yours, Sass.

1 stick of butter.
1 C milk.
1 C sugar.
1 C AP flour.
1 tsp baking powder.
Pinch of salt.
I used cherry pie filling.

Melt butter in baking pan. (I used a cast iron skillet).
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and milk together.
Pour in your pan on top of the melted butter, cover with the fruit.
Do not stir!
I sprinkled some sugar on the top.
Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour, until golden brown and dough is done.

this is a real easy "dump cobbler" - but I only do it with fresh local run-down-the-chin peaches....it's all about the peaches...

Peach Cobble

4 large or 5-6 smaller peaches, soft
peel, slice, macerate with 1/4 cup / 50 g white granulated sugar in fridge 2 hrs to overnight

pre-heat oven to 400'F / 205C'

melt 1/2 stick = 1/4 cup = 57 g unsalted butter

in a bowl mix
1/2 cup / 65 g - AP flour
1 tsp / 5 g baking powder
1/4 cup (50 g) white sugar
one cup (210 g) brown sugar
pinch of salt
almond extract (2-3 ml) or nutmeg (optional)

when oven is ready, add 1/2 cup (118 ml / 119 g) milk to dry ingredients, mix

pour melted butter in 9 x 9 (23 x 23 cm) pan
pour batter into pan
add sliced peaches - arrange to cover entire pan

bake 25-35 minutes - batter should rise to top and brown
