When I taught high school sped English I used to bring cheese, salami, crackers, and a cutting board to class and fed the kids. Some never got breakfast and all were hungry well before lunch.
I had a friend, a retired electronic engineer, whose first thing when someone visits his house is to give them something to eat and drink. Sandwich and tea was the most common thing. The reason he said is that when a person goes to a house he may have travelled a long time, maybe he hasn't eaten anything, or simply tired. He may not be in the best condition to chat, and some refreshment takes him to the level he can enjoy the meeting as much as the host does. When I taught high school sped English I used to bring cheese, salami, crackers, and a cutting board to class and fed the kids. I went on their website and found someone's comment with a photo
Hope he does it before Bill Gates…
