2018 - Pork Roast - Yes or no?

*****
I pulled a pork roadt out of the way bottom of the freezer. Its dated in 2018. Vacuum sealed, no freezer burn, meat still has correct color.

Cook or toss?

I'd give it a shot. Cook it and if it smells or tastes bad chuck it. If it's good you saved a meal. If not you were going to chuck it anyway.

I would throw it away because the whole time that I was eating it, I would be thinking...will this make me sick???.

Well, Sass' chart says to toss. However, I'd go for it.

Hope this helps :whistling:

Looking at the chart Sass posted, everything I eat is WELL past expiration. Never got sick but regardless of age, the smell/taste test applies.

It is done. It was good. The slaw is HomeCook's recipe. Morgan approves.

My bud in Iowa made a black raspberry pie for Thanksgiving from berries he found in his late mother’s freezer. It was dated July 2000 and said they were wonderful.
