Thank you Mary. Don't forget to put your bacon dish in the smoked piggy Cooks challenge.I'm not sure yet. I'm leaning towards a pasta and bacon dish though. Something quick and easy. That salad looks yummy, Peeps!

My smoked ham shank is smelling the house up!!

Thank you Leni. After I poured off the fat in the pan there was a nice brown fond/coating on the pan that gave the greens great flavor and the juices from carving were great as a natural gravy.Peeps, you've got my mouth watering. I'll have to try that. My meat market always has smoked ham shanks available. I usually use them to make bean soup.

Peeps, that ham looks so good!!! I'm making ham tomorrow and I think I might do it the iron skillet after seeing how yours turned out.
We had jumbo pasta shells stuffed with bacon, onions, mushrooms, ricotta and cream cheese, asiago, parmesean, and romano. The sauce was made with butter, flour, cream, 2% milk, a little chicken broth, cream cheese, and asiago, salt and pepper, and a little nutmeg. Then topped with a little mozzerella and baked. It was like a grown up mac and cheese. Not healthy by any means, but it was delicious!
The kids wouldn't touch it so they had spaghetti. LOL.

that all looks good! My folks are visiting, supposed to arrive tomorrow, but will be here in the next 15 minutes, half hour. So we busted our butts getting the house ready, and had totino's pizza.
yep, total junk.
I'm drinking wine now.
