What's for Din-Din Sunday May 3, 2009???

As you can see, it's o-by-God early to be talking about dinner, unless your dinner will take 10 hours to cook like my 10# fresh picnic ham will in the smoker.

I put the rub on last night and left it in the fridge, soaked my hickory chips, plugged in the temp probe and filled the water pan with a 50/50 mix of apple juice and water. I'll be back later this afternoon with an update. No peeking!

Chicken pasta casserole. I am still hammering out my recipe.

Thinking of
Chicken breast
tube pasta
cream mushroom soup
heavy cream
onion
roasted red pepper
garlic
salt
pepper
cheese

Not sure on the amounts? But that is the fun of creating.

Whenever I get back from the gym (I do actually have to get there to actually get back..)

I'm making sunday gravy with meatballs and pork, to go with a couple of pounds of pasta.

Italian salad and italian bread (which I may make into garlic bread)

My son is coming by...too bad my daughter has to work:mellow:

Alright! You go, Joe!
And no peeking is right. Get the pics when you're ready to take it off.

I have no idea yet for my dinner. Slabs of ribs are on sale in the city, so I might mosy in there and then see if I can cut them St Louis style like The vid posted here a while back. Or do something else ;^)

a little spice to kick it up a bit...cayenne?cajun seasoning... maybe quickly grill your chicken breasts?

all sounds good to me but its early and i need more coffee..lol

We are making a brisket of beef (done in the oven), mashed potatoes, broccoli. We are having my sister in law and her grown daughter over for dinner tonight.

Today is little Jocelyns 3rd birthday, in a park, under a pavillion, and it's raining; supposed to rain all day..........I imagine there will be plenty of no-shows, so I'm taking tupperware..............(I made Company Picnic Bean salad)......... hopefully, I'll be carrying dinner home !

We are having Eggplant Parmesan with some whole wheat pasta..Made the gravy early this morning and it smells grand....

I have some chicken-leg-quarters in brine that I'm going to smoke/roast later. I had taters last night, so I'll probably make some rice tonight... Most likely I'll have some peas too...

Today's my cooking day. So far, I've made some Almond-Mushroom Gravy, some ranch dressing and herbed tofu croutons. I've still got to make kofta for the freezer, mojo sauce, and, if time permits, veggie broth.

Dinner will be spinach kofta with yogurt sauce and naan.

Frito chili pie is one of my favorites, but my native Wisconsiner family look at me funny when I eat it...

i am introducing it to some canadians tonight..lets see how well that goes over..lmao

if not i will have lotsssssssss to eat..lol

Bought way too much Famous Daves last night (I know Bam-but in my defense I was setting fence posts all day) So leftovers it shall be!!

Unless Vera invites me over for some Italian Sunday Gravy, in which case the dog will be eating Famous Daves!!!
