What's cooking, Tuesday July 21, 2009?

Won't be cooking again today, no time. My aunt and uncle are coming over and will be bringing a casserole and stuff for the family. I have an appt. at 5 with the priest to finalize things.

it is going to be stuffed peppers ( made with rice, onion, tomatoes and fresh herbs) served with mixed salad and cacik which is natural yogurt mixed with garlic, cucumber and mint.
It is too hot today so this will be nice and light for this evening.

not sure yet.

maybe shake-n-bake pork chops if dw makes them; maybe take-out, italian or sushi.

awaiting marching orders.

What's cooking?
This just went into the oven. And I've got the deep fryer warming up for some chips. Not sure about tonight yet, but lunch is covered

No cooking here. There is a Cuban refugee doing some repair work on my house and he and his Latvian wife are taking DW & me to a Cuban hole in the wall restaurant tonight. That will be fun.

Hmmm.....I wonder if I could turn that loaded chicken into a sammie like that? I could butter the bread...run it under the broiler...add some tomatoes...THANKS CHOW!

beautiful!! and i love the plate and the granite counter top!!

WE had planned on Spaghetti Squash & Vodka Sauce w/ Shrimp..

Warden is under the weather so I'll do Ground Beef Steaks in Onion gravy with something oven-fried............... Ratz!

GG, you're right - lavosh is usually crisper. However, I found something called lavosh bread at the Fresh Market. It's a wrap and is actually softer than a tortilla. I'm not sure how authentic it is, but it's good!
