whats cooking at your house?

i am going to make cheese burgers and left over mushroom soup.

not sure yet.

my boy is hosting a(n) ool party with 4 of his ladies :thumb:, so i'm not sure if dw is cooking or will just order out.

i'm stuck at work 'til midnight, so it'll either be leftovers or maybe a reuben from the diner.

Paul's hunting..(every weekend between now and foreeeeever) so I don't have to cook tonight.

Might make myself some pancakes or poached eggs on toast. Breakfast sounds good.

a "Pigs in Blankets version............ bulk sausage, wrapped in wet stuffing, wrapped in bacon.....

Cauliflower and Broccoli Salad, and probably some sort of carrots.

I'm grilling some steaks but no idea yet what I will serve with them other than mushrooms.

I'm thinking comfort food...a great way to end a busy week. I'm going to make an old family favorite, of mine, that DH really likes too. We're having Sausage & Sauerkraut tonight. :bounce::chef:

Maybe hot dogs. I had a big lunch (leftover steak and spaghetti) and it's hot and I'm tired and no chicken wings in the freezer (my goto meal) and I just went to take my atv for a ride and I have a flat in one of my new tires (replaced from the last flat) and I'm a wee bit cranky right now... sigh.

Well I thought it would be steak but it turns out it will be ribs in the oven with baked beans and French fries. My DW defrosted a rack of ribs and not the steaks. Doesn't matter though just as good.

Thanks Joe. That reminds me to take a rack out of the freezer for tomorrow or Sunday.

Very nice Trim. I love your creation and those carrots look fantastic.

Pork Shoulder Country Style Ribs on the BBQ.- Mashed Potato & Corn.
Hey LT- Great Minds think alike. I have the same plate!

I decided to try my hand at Rutts Rippers, but me thinks the hot dogs were too high a quality, as they didn't truly rip. Here they are nonetheless. The topping was caramelized Vidalias sauteed with a jalapeno pepper and some sweet/hot pickles thrown in towards the end.
They were pretty tasty and I didn't get an oily fried taste. I'd make them again.

chowdog, those are impressive, especially the ripper on the right. yeah, they probably weren't fatty enough, or had enough fillers to expand a lot, but i wouldn't pass one up.

when have you been to rutt's hutt?

Thanks Q and BT.

They're Smith's natural casing, Q. I know Joe V said he can get them somewhere around him now. They are made in Erie.

They have no problem splitting on the grill, BT. I'm not sure why only one split in my deep fryer and the other two only the skin gave way... like a third degree burn (lol).
I've never been to Rutts Hut, but I live vicariously through the Food Network ;^)

Nice looking crust on those burgers Peeps.

thanks chow .. i dont think we get smiths here .. i will look around for them though ..
last nights dinner ..

Wow. Those wings are orange! That usually means one thing.... HOT!

So explain the fattie calzone. Did you take a fattie from last weekend and wrap it in dough?
