What's Cooking NCT? Sunday 4/26 to Saturday 5/2/2020


"Mikes Casserole" Called that, because our friend Mike Will not eat it. It's only fried ground beef and onions, tomato sauce and mixed frozen vegetables; with P berry blue tube biscuits on top, with a topping of shredded cheddar cheese. I'm not a fan of casseroles, but I had a portion..... THE END!

Yup ; Very Lightly, in a flat-Iron Skillet...... the Warden used to slightly char them on the electric Glass-top, but I like my way better.... and I'm fond of the double-wrap...... She thought it was a waste of a perfectly good Soft Shell, lol
 
Today and tomorrow for dinner is up in the air.
Never know what we may find in the break room or our conference room these days.
 
Most Deli's have Tavern Ham, which is sliced for sandwiches.... I have the clerk cut mine off to about 3/8 - 1/2" thick, and treat it as a Ham Steak.... that's what's fer deener tonight ..........

I bought one of those Ham Steaks yesterday for DD.
There are no Hawaiian Gluten Free Frozen Pizza's at
the Super Markets. So I bought the 3 cheese one,
can of Pineapple, She can make her own Hawaiian Pizza.
 
Seared Tavern Ham Steak, Pineapple/Mustard Sauce, Buttered White Rice, Peas, Corn & Pearls... SoS- Thousand Island....

We had pick up takeout Mexican from a local place. The food was good,BUT the fact that it took 59 minutes for our food to be ready, when we were told 25 sort of ruined the whole thing. We weren't the only unhappy customers either.
 
Our MDS nurse made a bunch of gorgeous little finger foods and cookies for sharing yesterday.
Who knew she was such a great cook and baker?

I think today we're getting pizza from Domino's again.
 
Shrugging shoulders as far as?? what to make / eat.
Lunch was an egg McMuffin and Fried Meatballs from a taste test for a batch of Italian meatballs that Tina mixed. It passed my taste and texture flavor.
 
Found two small Top Round cuts ... YAY ! Red Meat !!


Pan-Seared Top Round Cuts, Garlic Mash, Mushroom Gravy, Leftie Peas and Corn... Salad, as usual...

With white meat chicken, pico de gallo, bbq/chipotle ranch sauce.

We had cod with a honey/ghost pepper chile powder glaze, over a cauliflower/potato mash.

Just fried Bacon for my BLT.
Tina dropped out. She just ate frozen mac and cheese,.......and suffering now.
 
Smoked Pork Chop, Grilled, Mustard Aoli, Steamed Cauliflower, Twice-Baked russet, The usual Side-Salad....

The BLT was a great carb lower than what my Pork Face had here............

We had salted and chocolate chunk shortbread cookies for dessert. No pics, as I'm kind of ashamed to say we gobbled down the whole dozen of them. There's still another log of dough in the fridge though!
