:corn:Yeah! When we were kids, and if we were good, dad would go across the street to the bar, and get us the red pistachio's in those little cellophane bags. Sometimes he would bring Bro and I a slim Jim to nibble on. Later on, when they built a big ACME supermarket a couple blocks over....they had them slim jims for sale in a box of 12.
If dad got paid from a big job, we all would go shopping...mom and Dad pushing a shopping cart, and bro and me just walking up and down isles only L00King. Mom would get the box of those slim jims. Ummmm! Only thing is...she rationed them.
There was none of that cranky chit like the kids carrying on today...hahaha

We knew, if we acted up and started that chit.."Maaa Maaa Maaa can we have this or that??" ...It would be the LAST time we kids would be able to go shopping with mom and dad.

Haaaaaa!

Chicken Francese...
I sliced the breasts / breaded them, and DW put it together.

My pieces dry and thin, and well cooked.

Then...a Burnt Frozen apple pie. I like burnt, but Tina said,"ITS NOT BURNED!" ..... I said,"As You Wish Dear"
chickenfrancese007.jpg

At 400ºF oven.....70 minutes is wayy wayyyy to long to bake a pie.
:WitchBrewsSmiley:

tomato mozzarella & basil pesto-stuffed ravioli duo w/ bleu cheese. half an orange & a pop.

Dag, that looks GOOD, Embryodad!!!

Did you post the recipe for the chicken yet? I'd like to try it someday soon!!

Looks like the chicken was cooked in butter the whole time and the lemon slices added later.

In any case, that looks like it could go good over some pasta (noodles, spaghetti) or rice with a veggie!!! Mmmmmm!!!!!!
