Leftovers...

Dinner010913.jpg

Looks almost like and Asian meal!!! Pulled pork ot beef? :bonk:

I was cranky & achey today!

Fell asleep in the ez chair from 4 to 7 this eve.
Tina had Rotelli Macaroni's leftover...and she added shredded mootze to it, and baked them in the toaster oven.

I woke up starving....and could have eaten the a** of a dead skunk! ( dads favorite hunger expression )

I sat there and picked at those rotelli with Gusto.

Tina said, and to think...you told me to throw them out to the birds.

Chirp Chirp Chirp!!! LOL...They were so good!

soup- slit pea & ham, then veggie soup. a container of diced pears. later i made the rest of the soup.

made pasta- ditalini & mushroom/olive redd sauce & a pop. the olives went well w./

Ooooo! Ditalini....Good Good Good!
My favorite.

The olives look like a great flavor addition.!

I remember My brother as a kid, used to love the Spanish Olives. The ones with the little piece of pimento folded and stuffed inside. But!! He would Suck out the pimento and only eat the olive. Talk about pi**in off Mom! hahahahaha.

Beef and au jus left over from Christmas Eve. This was the last of it from the freezer. DW made the brown rice...took forever to cook, and I'm not a fan of brown rice. I'll get my fiber from any other source than brown rice, even chewing wood pulp or old textiles.

the pasta is gonna be dinner again, jimmy, 'cept a sorta putanessca. thanx. usually get olives from the olive bar stuffed w/ galic cloves, & cheeses & at, 'cept saw these in my kitchen & figured 'why not'~ (i can see ur bro getting a lecture now over those pimentos).
gonna snooze soon, so. 'nite. see 'ya this afternoon/evening. gonna look for anchovy & capers. i have 'em in the pantry.

I have breakfast sauasage, eggs, fried taters and onions and biscuits planned for dinner.

Did youurs also come with rolling pins? I like the idea of the rolling pins! :piesmiley1:
No rolling pins, Sherman. It didn't even have a sheet of instructions. Maybe I got one that had been returned.

Do you two and Joe have links for those ravioli makers?

I didn't buy mine online, so no link, but they're all over the place. BTW, I thought you had one (or a piece of one). If you do still have the metal piece, you could easily make that work.

Thursday / 01/10/13

Micky D's cheeseburgers tonight!

Today we were taking down the trees and decorations.
The house is a mess with dustmops and vacuums and trash etc.
I chucked out the light sets that didn't work, or only half the string lighted!

Next year...I would just love to put up a 3 or 4 foot quick up tree, and call it Done; but DD loves to decorate the big tree.
She decorates everything; even outside display lights, and I am the Taker Downer Idiot! I don't know how I got stuck with that, but I should keep my mouth shut, because at least I don't have to put it all up! LOL

I still would love to put up the aluminum tree with the color wheel like in the 50's and 60's.
Dad L O V E D That. No muss...No Fuss!

I had one YEARS ago but it has long since disappeared in several moves. I haven't seen any in stores but haven't really been looking. I have made them free hand the last few times.

We got one in one of the closets stashed someplace. Tina picked it up, but we never used it!
We make the ravioli with the round cut and press to seal cutter. We like them like Celantano's used to make them. I think they still do, but not as good as they were when the company was smaller.
I like Meat Ravioli too. Only when I make them. It's hard to find a ravioli with meat filling.

I like Celantano also BUT my favorite is Star brand. They have a meat ravioli.

a packet of black gram curried lentils. the remnants of pasta, a few cookies, olives, & a piece of an olive oil torta, w/ a can of pop.

I've got honey wheat bread rising to make BLT's to go with some homemade potato soup that I'll make later this afternoon. I'll try to remember to get some pics.

Just had a scary 1/2 hour. I got really shakey, light headed and felt like I was going to pass out. I did a test and my blood sugar dropped to 62. I drank some regular coke and feel a bit better now. I think it will be pasta with green olive sauce and salad for dinner tonight.

Easy peep! .....
keep some crackers and bring it up slow. You should keep them with you all times.
Tina is at my cousins in PA today, and she called and said that my cousins husband is sleeping all day. His sugar was 420 this morning when he woke up!....He is always tired.

Take care, and test again later.

Green olive sauce is a new one for me. I throw a few olives to flavor the tomato sauce, but never made a olive sauce. Hmm!

 Peepers! That is scary! The pasta should help.

WOW Jimmy....420! He needs to give his dr. a call!

Mama... he flat refuses to believe he within the last 3 years, became a Type 2 diabetic. ... He's only 50, and he eats carbs way way too much.
For a usual meal.....Burger King...2 whoppers, a fish sandwich..a large vanilla shake and a LARGE French Fries! ...
He ate ( it's hard to believe ) 13 slices of pizza last week at one sitting.
He is always sleeping, and when not sleeping, he is eating.
When my cousin threatens him, he will be a good boy and get it down to 160, but at that he says, he feels sick.

His Dr. is a woose. She tells my cousin to adjust his insulin accordingly till it gets down.

Geepers, I'm getting dizzy just thinking about it!! .....

woah, guys! peepz, glad ur better now.

i made a new batch of pasta, redd sauce, & olives, baby limas, & drank a pop. blake is gonna luuuuvvvvv me this evening- lentils, limas, garlic, onion.....

Thanks everyone.

I changed up the sauce but still had pasta and salad.

Rotelli pasta with a veggie sauce (EVOO, garlic, onion, carrot, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, vine tomato, ground red pepper flakes and my AP seasoning blend) topped with grated parmesan and romano cheeses. Green salad on the side not pictured

Dang Jimmy.....I guess he doesn't see the endless cycle he's on. He eats a lot because he's so tired and he is trying to gain energy but the food he is choosing to eat is what is making him tired.

Well luvs, as long as he eats the same thing, you should be good to go

Oh Peepers, that looks really good!

Here's our dinner:
