Whats cooking Friday September 18, 2009?

Any idea what I called them? I can't find them in my pics, but that's not what I had tonight anyway. I know I posted some scallops here not too long ago though... That's going to bug me now where they are hidden.

Tonight's seafood dinner at the "local" seafood joint. My place :respect:

First time grilling tuna. I used Fryboy's marinade, but AB's grilling technique, on the charcoal chimney, or jet engine as he called it. One minute each side. I almost hated to cut into it...

And I also grilled some shrimp, basted with Gallagher's hot sauce. And fixed some broccoli in my usual way. The sauce sloppily applied onto the tuna slices was simmered; soy, honey, lime juice, pepper flakes and cillantro.

And yes, I actually used lime juice, but cut into a lemon for a garnish! My first garnish!
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! :applause:

I had:
Ok, this is nuts.

Went to the kitchen at work after all the residents had been served meals.
My selection was: Mushroom soup and a shredded bbq pork sandwich, cucumber and onion salad and a slice of pumpkin bar.
OR.. chicken nuggets, hash browns? wtf? and brussels sprouts and ice cream.

Needless to say I was thinking Arby's and made a quick run down the road and got a loaded tater and one of their mandarin peach iced teas, then ate the potato half assed cold with my head stuck in paperwork waiting for a new admit to show up on the unit from the hospital.
Fun fun fun lol

Thank you Sassy one.

Boy, I could have put together a pretty good meal with that list of food at the home. Arbys? I would have mixed some shredded pork into the soup and poured it over a couple hash browns :^D

I had guests (again), to celebrate a birthday. We celebrated with roast chicken, garlic mashed potatoes with parmesan and chives, broccoli almondine, hard rolls.

I wanted to serve a pinot noir, but the birthday girl wanted asti spumante, so we settled for that (I'm not so sure it worked:sad:).

Then, of course, we had birthday cake - a white chocolate and raspberry confection that is to die for.....

Dinner looks de-lish, and I love the garnish. Next you'll be making radish roses :chef:.

My wife and I worked together tonight and made some seasoned baked salmon with mashed potatoes and peas with a nice honey / soy sauce.

I love this dish!

Very nice!
