What have you eaten Sun. 7/21/ to Sat. 7/27/2019

Thanks Peeps.
It's 79° here with a low humidity level (44%).
As soon as I finish helping DIL with the dishes, I'm off for my evening stroll.
 
Dinner was stove top grilled strip steak with salad.

Still hungry....

Had a ham & provolone on seeded rye with mayo.
A small swirl of spaghetti from DD's bowl. Just to taste. Bland because she added zero, ("0") salt to the boiling water. She's a low sodium freak.



Maybe I should have that leftover cheese burger??
 
Better Yet..... I made a small batch of Italian Meatballs. 14 medium sized ones.
Rather than frying, I am baking them. I will have two or three as a night time snack.
I'll say one thing..... It sure as heck smells good in here.

It was very good. I like when the oil and vinegar dressing blends with the steak drippings. Then I dip the steak in it.

I have also been using Trader Joe's Everything But The Bagel seasoning added to my homemade oil and vinegar dressing.

Tonight is a choice of 4 meals:

1) Flat iron steak with (carb (noodles, rice side or potato) and veggie) or (salad)
2) Smoked spare ribs and beans
3) Italian sausage, bell peppers, onions, heirloom cherry tomatoes and cavatelli pasta
4) Pot Luck - Whatever DD wants LOL :yum:

I am leaning towards #3. But who knows what will happen later.
 
I'm having bbq'd pulled pork on Thomas sandwich size English muffins, for lunch.

We have sirloin steaks, shrimp, ham steak..

Dinner was frozen cavatelli, Italian sweet sausage, yellow & red peppers, onion, fresh garlic, multi-colored heirloom cherry tomatoes, seasoning and tomato paste topped with fresh grated Parmesan Reggiano & Pecorino Romano cheeses.

This was a first run HIT! Everyone liked it.

Looks great, Peeps.

I added chicken breast to a mix of tomato and alfredo sauce, mixed that in with macaroni, then topped it with shrimps simmered in butter and basil sauce.
Delicious. Something different!

It's been a tubular day here at the LT house;


Deep Fried Sausage on a bed of Sweet Peppers & Onion, Air Fryer Wedgies and Leftie Beets...

2 breaded poke chops from the Alexis Diner for me, and meatloaf dinner for Tina.
It was on her way home from her doctor in Morristown.
Had blueberry tart that DD made yesterday.
 
A chunk of lamb rubbed with a paste of garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper roasted over a bed of potatoes and carrots, with a side of zucchini, yellow squash, butter and Ritz cracker crumbs casserole.
 
I dry rubbed a rack of pork spare ribs last night. I will smoke them in the stove top smoker then under the broiler. Doctored baked beans on the side and maybe a salad. Unless someone wants something else.
 
For supper, I want a macaroni dish...of fried onions and added kidney beans with medium shells Pasta.


Had lunch after the Dr. ( cardiologist ) ; 1/2 English toasted, and baked meatballs.


BP was great...130 / 70. They drew blood for testing.
 
Ramen noodle bowl with shrimp, Asian pork belly, baby bok choy, shiitakis, roasted red bell, green onions and cilantro garnish. The broth was the braising liquid for the pork belly, strained and defatted.

We ate at a place called Jersey's Gameday Grill.
I had Caribbean jerk wings, mozzarella sticks and a root beer.
 
I made a simple pasta dish.
Kidney beans and fried onions over shells macaroni.


Look how cute some of them spoon with each other.
I like when they triple spoon. And when I get a triple spoon, I just enjoy the bite and texture.

DD made a good dinner tonight. I've been busy in the garden. Nice treat.

Dinner was stove top grilled flat iron steak and pappardelle tossed with butter & chives.
I didn't really like the flat iron steak but it was on sale. I'd rather have a strip or sirloin steak.

Crawled in totally exhausted from a full day at Sesame Place.... neighbor took pity, offered me a Chicken Leg and some Slaw....
I thawed some Collards and bingo ! Dinner !
Chicken was good, after I cut through the Armor....

Mussels (Shelled) over Pasta tonight , one way or t'other ...
