Mine go straight into the food processor to make breadcrumbs and are kept in the freezer. If you don't process them too finely, they are almost like Panko.
I use them to butter fresh corn, just put a piece or two of butter on the bread side and lay the corn in the heal give it a turn and pass it to the next person.

My choice wasn't listed which is I turn them into bread crumbs for mixing with meatballs, meat loaf, crab cakes etc. Now my wife turns them with the soft side out and makes a sandwich out of them trying to fool me, which doesn't work by the way.
