Yeppers, on the map, says you'll have "severe" heat and we're having "extreme" heat. At what point is it just "too darn hot"? (thinking of the Kiss Me Kate song, that we named our youngest pup after )

In any event, we're having a Garden Pasta Salad for lunch and I'm thinking I'll sous vide a couple of steaks for dinner. If the porch is cool enough, I'll finish the steaks on the gas grill. If not, cast iron skillet will be in play!

Good stuff and I'm stuffed!

Seems like there's a run on the chicken meals tonight! I've got a chicken brining in the fridge. I'm going to use the Showtime Rotisserie for it later today. I'm thinking a can of Glory Red Beans & Rice along with some of the Corn Casserole from the freezer will fill out the plate.

Nancy made pizza’s from scratch; a cheese pizza for Peter, and a 3 cheese, prosciutto, and peach pizza for us. She actually two for us and one will go in the freezer. Her crusts are made with Bob’s Red Mill pizza flour and best crust I’ve had. The cheese’s were double cream Gouda, fontina, and mozzarella.

We have been doing chicken soup for a couple day's. We are both sick, and Thank god Tina is pulling out of it. She had an 80th Birthday today, but it came with a UTI. Thank God she has a Dr. visit Monday. Poor thing....

Went down the shore with DD yesterday. Spent the day on the Seaside Heights boardwalk. No beach (We really don't like ocean water, sand, cracked shells, critters).
Rode the Ferris wheel and the carousel. Browsed the shops and spent way too much money (on shirts and trinkets) and the arcades. Did manage to spend (waste) enough money to get a “free” (haha) beany baby dog and two other small things. But it was fun. There were several bands/live music along the boardwalk at various "beach bars/pubs".
Had some pretty good food for lunch (shared fish and chips and salsa and chips) and dinner (DD had coconut shrimp and fries. I had a small hot dog). There was a guy doing Elvis songs at the bar area. Not to bad.
DD hit an ice cream shop for a scoop. We also got some fudge to take home.
We brought two sausage, pepper and onion subs home.
Left the house at 8:30am (shared an omelette at diner before we hit the rode) and got back home at 10pm (shared one of the subs for a snack).
It was a fun day.
