Leftover shrimp and salad for lunch.
Flat iron steak, sweet potato and another salad for dinner.

I've never made - much less eaten a flat iron steak before.
I called the trusty "all things meat cookery" expert, my son Ty.
He didn't hesitate to say " let it sit out for about half an hour, toss it in a medium heated pan in a full 3 T of butter, slightly increase the heat a little and do it 3 minutes per side, then let it rest for a full 10 minutes".
Perfect!
He knows I like my steaks medium/medium rare.
Sweet potato and a romaine, cuke and radish salad as well

I love mine cooked that way in a cast iron Dutch oven
I haven't made a pot roast in the oven for years.
Always do mine in the crock pot, just throw it in with the vegs and seasonings and forget about it for hours.

🌹 Still trying to get it right.
Feeling so-so. Really didn't eat much, but it was good. Most of that plate is in the fridge.
I'll be having a meal sized salad.

Nancy made her beans - I grilled Tyson 93% lean pre made burgers and they were pretty good. Udi’s GF buns are pretty good toasted over the coals.
I keep saying I'm going to make your Mom's wings, then I forget !
