What are you doing today?

I'm watching Japan and NZ play rugby on CBUT. Japan had a good club and in the lead but it will be an upset if they win this one. It is an upset 14-12.

I cannot believe, I have a Plumber here installing a new commode in the downstairs powder room, and installing a new tub/shower valve assembly in the main bathroom.

All because my knees are shot, and my vision is bad; even with glasses.
A plumber needing a plumber..... It's hard to believe what age may do!

i hafta make foodstuffs fer locals & myself

spoke to my Mom fer a few

my hair is making noise--i'm tinting 'em redd- i'm gonna look & see if my black hair is blonde yet so i can apply tints-- (peroxide makes noises, kinda) yay--

Today is "Anything can Happen day".....
The kitties are sleeping ( what else is new ? ) and it's slight rain out.
Mommy "T" took off with a couple of friends, and went to the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA. I told her not to come home unless she wins lots of money.

I have to put out the garbage cans, and boy are they filled this week.
I have to take a bed apart to give away free, that nobody wants. It's one of those medical / hospital beds all electric.

I'm watching the old Gunsmoke series on TV,......enough of that. Time to get off the tukus and get something done.

Slid right out of jury duty :blob_blue:. To celebrate I'm going to color my hair and get it cut into a lob style. I'm not sure if a lob is a Long bOB or a Layered bOB. Whatever it is, I'm getting one, probably tomorrow.

At the last days here have been some quite marvelous sunsets. It has been my evening hobby to sit in the garden and look to the sky. This was what I saw few days ago:

Hey, Cooksie, can we see a picture of you with your new haircut????

Saliha, WOW!

purdy sky!

the last three days I've been attempting to make my computer re-run.
despite my explicit exclusion, and despite having Windows Updates turned _OFF_
MS decided I needed to be upgraded to Win10.

attempting the use of the MS un-upgrade-after-the-fact-restore option basically trashed the computer to smithereens.

rebuilt from a 2015 disk image, but I still can't get Win7 to recognize and Win7 updates since 2015. I guess MS "hid" something on the hard drive telling the update world it's a Win10 machine and nothing should be updated.

what we need is a real good class action lawyer to put MS out of business.

Once again I have Woody Woodpecker bangs. Every time I tell them that my bangs draw back up more than they think, but every time they just chop them too short :glare: .

This is as good as it gets, ewww saggy arms and all:

That would be nice, Leni. I was thinking yesterday before I left that it sure would be nice to have someone come to my home to cut my hair. I get tired of their 20 questions...where do you work, what do you do, how many children do you have, and on and on. This is the salon at Wal-Mart, so go figure :).

My sweetie got her haircut last week and changed her whole look. she will be 4 in October.

Today will be a day of Olympics and Seahawk's pre-season football. Yesterday's house work did my hernia no good and giving it a rest today.

What a beautiful specimen of a perfect little girl.
God Bless Her, and her family!

spent great daze w/ my Mom recently; dear that she is--
my pal is hankering fer a road trip, so road trip we shall make~ can't swim, as we keep having storms, dammit-- oh, well~

I've got a tile project going right now. The guy I hired to do the install is doing a great job. When he finishes and everything cures, my part starts. I'm going to seal all the grout. After that I'm going to have to learn how to use a mitre box and install some quarter round. I think I can...I think I can...I think I can.

Yesterday we went for a drive to Blaine to get our Nexus passes and ended up in B.C., took a ferry to Victoria, spent the night, and had a wonderful meal at the Grand Pacific. This morning we were lucky to get on the Coho and were the last car for the 1030 sailing, lucked out. The drive home was a hot one.

I got notice for jury duty for 3rd week in Sept. when I was going to B.C. to fly fish for chums.

Jinx! :yum:

I'll go the last week of Sept and give me another week to get exercise. The last time I had jury duty I was never called then totally excused the last day. Now we only have to do one week, not two.

This morning I went to the PA and he said I'm expecting too much too soon. He said it will take a year for the wound hardness to go way and should be doing light duty for 6-8 more weeks. He said I'm progressing normally. The pain I'm experiencing is to be expected.

I'm baby sitting the granddaughter this afternoon just like most every Friday.

Monday Musings... Just got two text from my Iowa bud. This morning he caught a big northern in the Cedar River, his first ever CR northern. Later he caught a big channel cat so it's a fish fry for them tomorrow.

Sometime today I'll start on an apple butter project if I can get some kitchen time. The mrs is drying sweet corn and green beans.

It's cooled off and almost feels fall like this morning.

Spent the day with my boys and the granddaughters and family.
Shopped and ate in Holy Toledo. lol
Chinese buffet.
Maddy loves rice and crab meat.

Today I'm making the beet pickles and will can some for eating ala the recipe Lee posted.

My bud from Olympia is stopping by this evening with a load of ammo he bought at a garage sale... 500 rounds of .45 ACP! I'd like it but think he wants too much for it. we'll see.

The ammo was a garage sale steal.

Today it's making another batch of beet pickles and what's left over will join in the freezer and a couple done up for dinner ala Lee's recipe.

I'm getting the urge to can tomatoes again and will get a few flats of roma's for red sauce next week.

Thanks, the post reminded me to go check the 13 boxes of .22 MAG ammo I have vacuum sealed in my safe. It's still vacuum tight. Like a pack of Hot Dogs! LOL
