Hi Peggy - Drew Chemical Company.

Yup! It gets hot. When I was working there, I visited mostly refineries and plants. I was outside most of the time. I was told Louisiana has two seasons, summer and winter. Winter is only two weeks LOL. For some reason, I did not mind it, then again, I was not there 12 months out of the year. An awful lot of rain though.

You're right we do have two seasons, summer and summer! It does get cold sometimes, and I freeze because we just aren't used to the cold! Oh yeah, the rain, just about every day especially in the summer, but no wind when we need it :biggrin:

I just sort of stumbled upon this site. It looks like a great place, and I'm looking forward to sharing and learning. Looks like you all have a pretty good time too :D.

I like to cook and try new things, and I love to see what everyone else is doing in the kitchen. I especially love to see pic's. I'm a pretty good cook (toot toot :lol:), and a wannabe photographer.

i use to work at various festivals in Louisiana

Louisiana Corn Festival in Bunkie (ate the best boudin there ever)
Smoked Meat Festival in Ville Platte- some good bbq there
Jambalaya Festival in Gonzales
Northshore Garden Show in Covington
Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival
Cochon de Lait Festival

this is just to name a few..lol

Thanks for posting that Bam. We went to the Jambalaya festival in Gonzales. Was a little disappointe with the jambalaya, but it was a great time!
