Wednesday dinner 4 August??

I'm thinking honey mustard chicken breasts. I'm tempted to make another black butter sauce for the chicken, but not sure how well that would work. Either way, chicken breasts done some way.

Ribeyes on the grill. taters in the oven, salad in the bowl.
Sauteed mushrooms and onions on the ribeye.
Smile on the face.

I think we'll have king crab legs. And a salad. And wine.

Keltin, will you share some of that ghee you made?

Here is what we had. Nothing special, just spaghetti with homemade meatsauce. Served it up family style so our friends could help themselves.

It looks really good, mhend...I love the dish you have the spaghetti in. Very nice size and versatile, I'm sure. Our dinner tonight was tasty, but not realy picture-worthy. I planned to roast some cauliflower and asparagus in EVOO and garlic, but the asparagus had turned to mush since I bought it only two days ago. And it smelled BAD. So I roasted the cauliflower with some baby portabello mushrooms. Served with rice and sea bass that I sauteed in butter, lemon and garlic. . The whole dinner was WHITE, except for the mushrooms, that had turned black. It tasted OK, but it wasn't pretty. Should have made a salad, but I ran out of energy. Spent the whole day at an upscale Vallarta shopping mall with my daughter...this place actually has an air-conditioned parking garage with piped in classical music and waxed floors. Yikes. Had to buy a new cell phone, which is a major undertaking here...you have to register it with your passport, etc., in order to discourage the money-laundering narcotraficantes. But I digress. 'Nuff said.

We had Honey Mustard Chicken Breast with fries and a salad. The breasts are the biggest I’ve seen in quite a while. I should’ve cooked one and split it between DW and I as neither of us could finish a whole one. Leftovers will be good though!

Yesterday was my birthday and we will be going to dinner next Monday to celebrate (gotta wait for hubs first paycheck after vacation). So dinner was a Quick and easy chicken soup (b/s chicken breasts cooked in chicken stock then removed and cubed, cubed - carrots, celery, onion, Yukon gold and red potatoes, green onion and uncooked tiny pasta shells added to pot with stock and chicken. Cooked till veggies and pasta were tender). Topped with fresh grated parmesan and romano cheeses.
