Turkey Defrosting

it's a newer model - no icing, etc noted.

an older model once did ice things in certain spots.... but this one seems to have more even temp control.
 
My 'Olde Model' will ice up some stuff, but not all, stuff on the top shelf, rear, at 38...


What's the advantage of 36 over, say, 40 ?
 
I don't cook a whole turkey any more. But I DO cook it in parts - like the legs, thighs. wings or breast.

I THIS case, whatever parts that I plan to cook, I defrost them in cold water while they are still vacuum sealed & go from there. :applause:
