LOL! It’s a redneck beach thing. Down in Florida, at the Florida and Alabama line, there is a bar that straddles the state line. It’s called the Florabama. Once half is in Florida, the other half is in Alabama. A big attraction. Every year, they have a contest to see how far you can throw a Mullet. It’s a pretty big affair…..and it’s coming up again soon. :lol:

Not many people eat Mullet. They’re considered a trash fish, but you can eat them. They’re very, very boney though.

Also, they breed like rabbits, and move in huge schools. I could catch 20 or more with a single throw of the cast-net.
 
OMG I had to keep reading, I thought you guys were talking about some redneck festival where they throw people WITH mullets around!!!!!!!!
 
Yea, I was thinking mullet as in the hair style too LOL! Thought maybe they cut em off and threw em across the room!
