Seen any good movies?

Highly recommend Women In Gold. True story, stars Helen Mirren & Ryan Reynolds. Watched it on Netflix.
 
Boy! If you ever wanted a feel-good movie where you laugh and grin through the whole thing, "Champions" is it!

Woody Harrelson is the coach of a basketball team of players with development disabilities. They, and he, are wonderful!

Woody said that filming this was the highlight of his career and that they all felt like family right off the bat. He liked the "improv with structure". Evidently "Champions 2" is afoot.

Loved it!

I haven't read the book, nor have I watched the movie. However, I've never seen a movie overtake the book, if I've read the book first. Books I later watched as movies include The Day of the Jackal, The Count of Monte Cristo, Great Expectations, and 1984 but none of them came even slightly close to what was in my imagination. I mean they were a much watered down/diluted version of the story. :)
Anyway I don't like to watch holocaust movies. My taste buds are a bit different from others' I guess 😅

In general, I agree with you, Indike, regarding books vs. movies. But in this case, the movie evoked more powerful emotions in me. Same with "A Gentleman in Moscow".

Fascinating, funny and very informative.
I would have loved to try all three dishes she prepared.

I got through the breakfast program, but fell asleep halfway through the lunch, because it was pretty late.

I really wanted to watch "Apple Cider Vinegar" but luckily I read a bit about it before wasting 5.5gb of data. It's kind of hopping between present and past type storytelling which I hate. So I'm not going to watch it.

I was Shocked to find "A Complete Unknown" on Hulu already.

The movie is about his very early years and is excellent. I loved it and will watch it again, and again.
 
Watched the movie "Happy Face Killer" and the first episode of the "Happy Face" series.

Watching PBS series Second Season of - Wolf Hall: Mirror and the Light (Masterpiece) (I missed the first season. 😞)

I watched "Wolf Hall" season 1 because I loved Damian Lewis from "Billions". I can only DVR 2 things at a time and Wolf season 2 is the third thing. I'll have to wait until it runs again or appears elsewhere.

This past weekend, I binged "The Stranger", a limited series (my favorite to binge!) on Netflix. It, as many of the others on Netflix, is based on one of my favorite author's book (Harlan Coban). It was terrific!

On the recommendation of Jules and another friend, I started watching "Tommy Boy" last night.
Talk about a dumb movie lol
And I love Chris Farley and David Spade.
20 minutes in, I was thinking what??

Never heard of Wolf Hall ...but if Damian Lewis is in it I'd try it. He was a stand out in both Billions and Homeland.

Will also check out The Stranger when done with what I'm watching now. Recently finished the Lincoln Lawyer and moved on the The Lioness. Completely different type shows but both hold my interest. I'm preferring a series to a movie lately.

We watched Kraven The Hunter. It is based on the Marvel Comic. We enjoyed it. But we do like that kind of movie.
