Lifesaver will be in when she pms me her address. I will include her then, when she is official ;-) I hope we have a decent number but either way, I shall go ahead and match people up on Thanksgiving and pass out the names via pm the next day.

Thanks for your efforts Susan. And Thanks for posting it on NCT's Facebook page. I expected a better turn out and I agree participation has been rather lackluster.
I'll put this on hold for now and try to revive it in Dec. and see if more of the Christmas spirit has caught on here at that time.

I don't think 12 participants is lackluster at all!! I'm sure more people will come on board - but you do have to have a cutoff at some point.
Why not make the cut off the day the tree is lit in Rockefeller Center? Thanksgiving is just two days away. If you wait another week, you might get a few more participants. But, even if the list stays as it is, try to remember the economy still sucks and one out of ever 10 people is still out of work. I love the idea of the exchange, but I'd be equally as happy to see pictures of everyone's christmas tree, or menorah or kwanza candles or plastic spoon assortment! People don't join these things for a reason. Personally, I'm a card carrying member of the "i won't join any club that would have me as member" club. If more join, great, if not, so be it. I hope everyone has a good time either participating or watching what those who are say about it.

Susan is backing out of it Vera as she has outside pressures on her and she is disappointed with the turnout so far.

$20 sounds like a good suggested cut off but there is no hard fast rule. You sure do not have to spend twenty bucks. You can get by a whole lot cheaper, just pick a gift you think the other person will like.
If we have a cut off of Dec 11th that would give everyone one week to shop for whatever and that would give it a week to be delivered. Doable but might be rushed a little. All still under consideration at this point. I need to get past this weekend and then we'll shore up plans.
I will run the SS though, so send me the PM's if you want in. I will update the list early next week.

Sounds good Susan. I had thoughts of trying to still make it work this year but I simply can't see it through.
It's a tough year all the way around, lets all hope next year will be better for all.
