Sad news about BamsBBQ....

Many of you know Bams (Jeff) and his wife Amanda were expecting a baby girl on November 16th. Sadly, I just read on Barb's forum that they lost the baby (Lily Neveah Bowerman). My thoughts and prayers are with them both as they go through this difficult time.

Oh my lord, that has got to be one of the most devastating things to go through. I am so sorry to hear this.

I know that they are crushed because of that.

Nov 2nd Amanda went to the Dr because she has had a cold and still wasn't feeling well that's. When they discovered the babies heart had stopped beating. We are still unsure why happened as we have decided do let the drs only perform a. Non evasive examination which means no autopsy.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

I agree. Words are totally inadequate at a time like this. So sorry to hear about this.
 
Bam/Jeff,
Sometimes you can never really get an answer to the question of Why??????? Why is that? Because no one knows the answer.
The most important thing to stress to both you and Amanda--and please remind her--there was absolutely NOTHING you DID or DID NOT do which would have caused this!!!! REMEMBER this!! Please!! Many people, especially women, think it is their fault..It is not!! No Guilt, please----yes, maybe she was not feeling well--so are a lot of people now, colds, viruses are going around... .Amanda did go to see the doc--She did the right thing.. This horrible thing just happens.. and it happens quite a lot.....
in my job, I see this a lot.....I know the guilt, pain, anguish associated with this situation...
I will light a candle tomorrow, in church, for your little one.....and will pray for you and Amanda to find some peace and comfort....

Thank you again everybody from the bottoms of our hearts. I've had to.read this thread over and over again as tears always came to my eyes.


Its not been an easy couple of days but having so many caring family & friends has at least made the days pass by better for me. As for Amanda she is still pretty medicated so she can sleep.
 
an update..

the dr's said they couldnt find anything wrong with her and ruled it Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome aka SADS

everything else was healthy with the baby. she was just about 7lbs,long legs, and a full head of red hair. And according to Amanda she had big feet..lol
