It’s not my best presentation but then the meat quality was not what I require and am out of my home made dill pickles.
Salde, red kraut, and boiled potatoes will be the sides.

Beautiful photos! My mouth was watering from the first picture of beef rolled around pickles!

We went to the shops (commissary, ClassVI, German Market, and Total Wine)today to get a few items for the weekend. I’m set with German bier and wine.

That looks spectacular, John! Just imagining biting into a roll with that pickle is making me drool!

It came out pretty good despite a few absent minded issues. The gravy was made with some German gravy packets and the dill pickle juice and was quite tasty. The cucumber salade was just like I remember from Germany. She used very little Mayo and no sugar.

What's inside the rolls besides pickles? Onions?

Lee
The inside has bacon, pickle, chopped onion, and German mustard. Usually I put a carrot spear in it but this recipe didn't call for it. The way I was taught was to use carrot, pickle, and yellow mustard.
