Random Picture Thread - Part Deux

A week ago, today, I went to watch some friends of mine playing with their big toys. Spring Steamup, Minnesota Steam Engineers Association.

Snapped this back in January.
I think I posted it in a wild party music thread on FF.

Hey Monte! Cool pics! I wonder why you can't post them on NTT. These were much clearer than the one you sent me. Thanks for sharing.

NTT has a smaller size limit than here and FF. I thought Doc was going to adjust it, but so far no good. I tried to repost them yesterday.
I might have sent you pics with my Blackberry. These I took with my regular camera. For an el-cheap-o, it does pretty good, I think. Not even grainy like some of the others posted here and there.
I'll email you some vids of the 75 pulling on the Prony Brake. Only about 10 seconds or so, but, it'll give you a taste anyway.

Thanks Monte! I look forward to it.

Here's some miniatures that were playing too. The gray one is a replica of a gasoline burning tractor from way back, almost a hundred years. The other two make steam, toot whistles, and power scale size machinery.

And, for grins and chuckles, I'll throw a recent shot my mug up for everybody to laugh at. :corny:

I loved the little remnants of the old brick building, nestled in among the more "modern" stuff

Now, these are a couple of weeks old, but the flooding in DC/Georgetown was all a result of what comes from up stream. Here are the same falls, under a 21ft surge

Hope y'all made it through ok LS. I saw on the news some of the damage from the tornadoes out there today. It's just horrible!

We had a short-lived tornado warning here today. Nothing ever touched down, but the community is still pretty jumpy from the outbreak we had on the 27th.

Wow, those are fantastic photos, Jono! All that water actually looks angry and ... terrifying.

Lifesaver, that is by far the largest hail I've ever seen! Much damage to your property?

And Buzz .... lol!

The whistle in town went off nonstop for about 2 hours warning everyone of a possible tornado but all turned out well. We haven't been outside yet to inspect for any hail damage to the house and vehicle but will do so today.
