Random Picture Thread - Part Deux

these are from our FL trip. there are a few +.

the one's of the heron were taken on the air boat. i am absolutely amazed at how awesome they came out.

the tower is Bok Tower - the highest point in FL. didn't really want to go - but wound up liking it. that is where the butterfly pic of from too.

the other ones are from the FL aquarium. that was an awesome place.

Wow, some great action shots! Congratulations. Lol--I'm glad to see that you pop wheelies and not pills.

Don't mind me I'm just playing with the new DSL seeing how much faster my pic uploads go....
REALLY FAST!! cool!!

Anyway this is from May, it was horribly windy and dry, causing a near sand storm in the fields down my road.

Morning!

LOL!!! Great shot, HC!

Too bad BT isn't around - he'd have a hundred puns for this one. On second thought, GOOD THING BT isn't around! LOL!

Cool photos, HC. Now that I've got a camera that has manual settings, I want to start messing with shutter speeds to capture movement, like wine flowing from a bottle or water from a faucet.

I lust for a phone with a decent camera; that is my latest "obsession" with photography...
It used to be my hobby, back in college. My digital camera is a big dinosaur.. it can use a 3.5 inch floppy disk or memory sticks, LOL.. so I don't carry it around much. Besides, its a work camera.

Here are a few taken with my mediocre phone cam....
Dunno how that flower picture came out so crisp!
The black dog is Nemo Defender Dog; the cat is my 20 pound Catdog Baxter.
White dog is Nellie Buttersnout.
That cutiepie is my newly minted Phd of a wife... I have aspirations of becoming a kept man when she gets the big bucks job, LOL!

Sweet! It's so much fun playing around in M mode. I'm still a complete NOOB but I'm getting the hang of it. I really need to get a wireless shutter release to cut down on blur and get more creative. Check out this guys videos on Youtube, some good info there and alot of vids!

Good pics, especially the one of Nemo and of the flowers. :thumb:

If you are up for a smart phone the iphone has a decent camera but no flash. You can get them for as low as 50 bucks from AT&T (older version of the phone) but the camera works the same. The main difference in the is the newer ones it can take short movies also. Only problem is the data plan costs 30 bucks extra on top of your phone bill, so that makes it one of the more expensive phones. But once you have one you will be hooked. So be careful.

Hey Doc. I can get an Omnia with 5MP and good reviews for $29.. but it is a smart phone, and has more bells and whistles and stuff than I would ever use... and then, I might be tempted to get broadband access and such! Heck, I don't even text!

Course, if I want a better camera, I am going to have to get a fancy pants phone...
sighhh
