pacific rim salad w/ flank steak

-carrot (cut julienne)
-h2o chestnuts
-scallions, sliced on the bias
-beans sprouts
-snow peas, (blanch & trim)
-sesame seeds (toasted)

combine & refrigerate
------------------------------------

-rice wine vinegar
-canola oil
-ginger root
-soy sauce
-sesame oil
-pepper
-salt
-siracha
-garlic (sliced)

whisk together
--------------------------------------

grill a flank steak (rare) & refrigerate (it can be broiled, too); thinly slice flank across the grain, then place in vinagrette for about an hour

-chinese cabbage (shred)
-an orange (semented)
---------------------------------------
blend the meat & veggies the vinagrette, then place cabbage on plate; garnish w/ the veggies & flank & a few of the orange segments. very ligtly sprinkle w/ sesame seeds

voila!
