Movies You Watched

Get Him to the Greek. It was awesome!!!! I will be a life long Russell Brand fan now. Judd Apatow movies are just the best!

Watching Hard Target with Van Damme. Such a great little play on the "oldest game" and it's set in New Orleans with lots of southern flare! Loving it.

i watched "the lovely bones" today.

now i'm gonna have nightmares about someone kidnapping my son.

stanley tucci played a great creapo.

I haven't seen it BUT I heard about it!! Can you believe that teachers are recommending the book/movie for teens to read/watch? I guess I should read or see the movie before I comment but I find it distrubing that teachers should push something sick like this on kids.

Just watched Chocolate which is a suprisingly good Asian Martial Arts film. It's streaming on Netflix and worth the time. Very good. Looking at Brandon Lee's (Bruce Lee's Son) movie Rapid Fire now. Awesome flick. His fight with Al Leong is a thing of legends. :thumb:

Keltin just watched Chocolate Looks like there were some injuries making that film. Ya good movie, I liked it.

Yeah those outakes at the end were great. Just like Jackie Chan does with his movies. Some of the stunts they were doing were just dangerously painful! :w00t:

Just watched Push. That was a fun little action movie. Smacked a bit of the Xmen or Heroes, but still fun. We enjoyed it.

Watched "Ip Man" last night……twice. It's that good!

It's the best Martial Arts movie I have seen in a long, long time. It's streaming on Netflix right now. I watched it on Roku.

The movie is based on the man called "Ip Man", a Wing Chun master that lived in China. It starts by showing Ip Man in his home province of Foshan, then progresses to show the Japanese occupation of the province during the Sino-Japanese War.

I only mention this because the movie is Asian and the Chinese is dubbed in English, but the Japanese is not, so you can get a little lost with the story during the Japanese parts.

Ip Man is supposed to be a trilogy. Ip Man 2 was released in Hong Kong in April of this year, and shows what happens when Ip Man and his family escape from China and move to Hong Kong........Ip Man begins teaching Kung Fu to others, and his most famous student is………….Bruce lee.

Keltin I just put Ip Man in my Instant Queue and will watch it tonight. You recommended Chocolate witch i enjoyed. So I'm going to give this one a shot.

Excellent! Personally, I think Ip Man is even better than Chocolate! I hope you enjoy it.

Went in town to the movies yesterday to see "Social Network", about the origination of Facebook.

I am just a casual Facebook user, but I was riveted from beginning to end. The acting by the lead kid and the three supporting actors was excellent!

i watched "taking woodstock".

funny, odd movie. liev schreiber in drag, and dmitri martin as the brow beaten gay son of obsessive jewish parents were great.

Hey Karen, you vouched for The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo, and that was a great flick. I see now that Netflix has The Girl That Played With Fire streaming, so I'll be watching that soon. Have you seen that one yet?

Watched Devil last night, the new M. Night Shyamalan movie. It was ok. Interesting premise, but rather slow. It relies heavily on character development since 90% of the movie takes place in that small elevator. Not a whole lot of action.

Worth watching on TV, but I wouldn't rent it or burn a Netflix spot for it…..unless you get it from Redbox with a free promo code.

Just a "Meh, it's ok" kind of movie. Seems like most of his movies are that way.

I always enjoyed the Maverick shows. :thumb:

I want to watch the Desert Rat series. All I need is time (assuming Netflix has the series).

Yea, after Sixth Sense, his movies kinda went downhill for me. I did enjoy that one though.

I haven't watched the other two yet. My daughter just downloaded Number Two and I downloaded Number Three, so as soon as I get a copy from her, I'll watch it - probably tomorrow. Of the books, the third one was the best, but I liked the first movie very much. Numbers two and three are in Swedish with subtitles, which I really prefer to dubbing. Let me know what you think of #2.

I just watched Goodnight and Good Luck - what a prophetic movie! Nice job of writing and directing by George Clooney and it brought back interesting memories for me, even though I was just a little kid at the time.

We watched 127 Hours at home last night. Excellent film.
The film is based on a true story about a solo adventurer/hiker who gets his arm caught under a boulder and is trapped there for days.
I remember this incident as it was widely publicized about 5 years ago.

Eat, Pray, Love

Disappointing.

May have been my expectations, though. I thought the premise of the movie was that the Meryl character left her life in America behind and went around the world, EATING.

Alas, that was just the first, and best, segment.
