Miracle Whip

We have both in our house, growing up we were exclusive MW.

Don't know about it being significantly cheaper at the time than mayo. But they aren't the same thing. MW is considered salad dressing.

I love Hellman's too. But some recipes, pimento cheese notably, are much better w/ MW than with anyone's mayo - IMNSHO. If I'm having a ham or turkey sandwich w/ swiss - better mayo. W/ Kraft american - MW, just a better combo.

We also have both in the house. Sharon Loves MW- I Mayo.
In fact it better be Hellmans. I am not fond of Kraft Mayo at all!

While we are in the Mayonaise Aisle, has anyone ever taste tested making your own mayonaise against Helmans?

inevre tried to make it likehellmans it's more by choice that i do it for us here then buywhat's at the market

Kim and I actually prefer Miracle Whip to mayo. It has a tangier, not so cloying taste.

I've seen the ingredients...like hot dogs, I don't care what's in it. I just like it.

Wow, this thread is still on the new posts page?
Ok!

I use to like Miracle Whip and couldn't stand Mayo.

Then when I was still in my single digits or early double digits I was at a picnic (?) and I was asked if I wanted salad dressing or mayo. Salad Dressing? Mom says Miracle Whip. I say Salad Dressing, thank you.

Except it wasn't Miracle Whip, it was some other brand of salad dressing. It sucked.

So I had Mayo and have stuck with it, as a spread Miracle Whip/Salad Dressings be damned! Salad dressings taste metallic or chemistry and unnatural.

OTOH salad dressing remains good for making salad dressings.

I like both mayonnaise and Miracle Whip, a lot. Once someone who was watching me put mayo on my sandwich actually had the nerve to say, "We have a trowel in the garage if you'd like me to go get it." :glare:

I am not very good at making homemade, doesn't turn out as good for me.

I grew up on Miracle Whip, DW on Hellman's, so we have both in the house. I swing back and forth between them, just depends on what I am in the mood for.

What do you think David Carradine was doing with a rope tied around his hee-hoo's and his throat, anyway? :sorry::ohmy::beatdeadhorse5::yankchain:
