Maple Walnut Torte

Someone at work asked if I'd make a cake for a co-worker's birthday today. The amberjack got put on hold while I made my favorite cake. The recipe is real long, and each layer (cake, glaze, buttercream, ganache) has it's own recipe, but if anyone is interested in any or all of it, let me know and I'll post it.

Here are the individual parts:

The cake layers cooling.

The soft chocolate glaze on each layer.

The maple buttercream.

The kitchen sink at 12:30 this morning. SousChef told me to leave it and she'd take care of it while I was at work. :D

We were invited to a birthday party, and I was asked to bring the cake. I resurrected this ( it's been a very long time since I've made it).

Change: I used bourbon as a flavoring In the maple buttercream, instead of cognac.
