Knife opinion

Korin received immediate payment.

Edited to add: Woot, you were right Joec. The other knife, my Pro M petty entered customs in Chicago today around 11 am. That is very fast!

You will probably have it tomorrow or the next day for sure then. Customs usually takes too day and you can track it with the same number as EMS through Priority Mail.

Generally about 3 days for Korin's once they ship to the east side of the country and 3 days from JCK regardless to customs and about 2 days from there to your door. Most of these companies are fast with the exception of Japanese Wood Worker who is in California. I've purchase probably 70% of my knives from JCK in Japan and 28% from Korin's with the rest split between private and other companies.

Does burnishing the edge just mean polishing?
I thought honing involved straightening the knife's edge.
Maybe, I don't understand the knife lingo very well.

Why is burnishing necessary? How does that help the edge?

Burnishing and straighting are basically the same Susan. Ignore them both they will just confuse you and me.:D
