In deep mourning

I found out yesterday that a dear friend and coworker drowned while she was on vacation. She was tubing down a river and missed the turnout, then got swept away in the rapids.
I'm devastated, numb and in shock.
Please, please, please be aware when you get in any type of water recreational activities and wear a life vest!

That is horrible. So sorry for your loss.
I cannot understand how anyone can be in river or lake water without a life vest. Especially if being outside the boat riding on a tube. Near rapids adds even another element of danger. So sad.
