I never heard of this one. Our last Crockpot gave up, told Nancy I wanted to buy another, and she bought this on Amazon. We finally got around to using it today. Tonight it’s corned beef, cabbage, veg, and Irish soda bread.

In the Boston area, there are tons of people of Irish descent, so around St. Patrick's Day, all the supermarkets sell corned beef and Irish soda bread with raisins. I don't have any off-the-boat Irish friends, but I have many of Irish descent - they eat corned beef and soda bread with raisins around St. Patrick's Day. I do, too. It's perfectly fine with me that the Irish folks across the pond don't.

It was! The recipe called for a beer and all I had was Guinness which worked fine.

Side note: I put all my pickling/corning spices in a large tea ball. I personally don't like all the spices floating around in with the food. JMHO/2₵

This corned beef from Costco came pre seasoned, no packet. It was tasty.
