I just made the Finnish cured salmon for the Christmas as its one of the most traditional food for the Christmas table. I took some photos to show you how to do it.
You ready?
At the first, you need a salmon. Then cut slices from it.
A tinfoil is useful with this or use baking paper instead. Spread some sea salt and fresh dill on it.
Then place salmon sliced on the tinfoil and add lemon juice.
Place a slice of salmon on the tinfoil. Add more sea salt, a pinch of sugar and more fresh dill.
Continue adding new layers of salmon, sea salt, sugar (just a little bit!), lemon juice and dill.
Now make a little package, keep in in the fridge to the next day (minimum 12 hours).
Note: If salmon tastes too salty, rinse it under the running water.
Yummy with the Finnish rye bread or with boiled potatoes.
