Ohhh you people and your delicious looking dinner pics! LOL

Yep, had salmon patties and LT's sprouts and radishes.

Good stuff!

OK, here are the pics. I am going to add these into my recipe as well so you can see how it works. Only problem I ran into is I was short pizza sauce, but better too little than too much!

First is wheat crust pressed into my 14" CI pan. Then I pressed a 1lb roll of ground sausage into a ball and then flattened into a circle. I then used a spatula to loosen it up, then rolled onto a rolling pin and dropped onto the crust. Press it down so it evenly covers the bottom. Place the mushrooms on top of that, then 1lb shredded mozzerella cheese, sprinkle evenly and pat it down. Cover with 8 to 10oz of pizza sauce depending on how much you like. I prefer 10oz but accidently bought the 8oz can.
I didn't have any whole tomatoes, but optional is to garnish the top with tomato slices and some basil.
Bake at 400F for 35min. I like to sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on my slice and eat it!

Here ya go:

Love the idea of rolling out the meat and covering the whole crust! Must have been yummy!

Thanks for the photos!!

Well Chow, if it wasn't for the fact that you burped I would have suggested a trade! A slice for one of those!!

You're on!
You put the whole sausage tube on the pizza?! Wholy Moly. I never would have guessed. And the way the crust rolls up and stays there in the individual slices... I thought you might cut that off or something.... That is one fine looking pie, Mav.
I gotta ask, having just cooked sausage, how come it's not all greasy looking? It looks great.

The crust absorbs the grease. It really is not all that greasy cooked this way. It keeps the crust tasty but you don't taste tons of grease or see it pooling all over the place. Just the perfect balance!
DW did make the crust a bit tall in this case, usually it only goes 1/4inch over the top of the pizza.

What is that food at the top of your plate, Joe? Is the sausage "leaking" or did one come apart? I never heard of this sausage, tell me about it please. Do you buy it or make it? And man those potatoes look good. I still haven't come up with a side for my sausage and red gravy subs. I better think quick if I'm going to make one.
The sausage "leaked" out of the casing while cooking. This happens when the sausage is made as a rope, rather than tied off into a ring. Here's a recipe of what's in the sausage... http://www.theingredientstore.com/joesplace/swap1.pl?noframes;read=7234

We were gonna have chicken and dumplings, but since no chicken was to be found in the freezer, we're having rib eye steak and baked potatoes instead. We'll probably also have a few canned asparagus spears. Our homegrown ones will be coming up in 3-4 weeks, depending on the weather.

Lately, the more "expensive" cuts of beef are going cheap. We got a choice Angus Beef whole rib eye for $3.99 a pound. That's cheaper than bologna.

Yea I noticed that too Constance... so-so cuts are still expensive, good cuts suddenly cheap... go figure!
St. Louis Style Pork Ribs $1.69/lb
Country Style Pork Ribs $1.50/lb
USDA Choice New York Strip $4.99/lb
USDA Choice Sirloin Tip Steak $1.89/lb
USDA Choice Delmonico Steak $3.69/lb
USDA Choice Rib Eye Steak $2.49lb
And Pork Rib Tips are $.99/lb while a whole pork butt is also $.99/lb

Looks like I am grilling this weekend!!!

Thanks Mav.

And thanks, Joe. That looks interesting. I wouldn't have guessed it had that much rice in it. And clove even.
Of course, I doubt we have that around here anyway (lol).

Gee.. me too Sattie, but I think I was a wee bit more excited about it! LOL.

Sattie's so precious the way she posts, especially when she says she's often having leftovers.. puts a smile on my face every time.
I think you're adorable Sattie. :flowers:

We live close enough that me and DW sometimes walk past Barb's home. You're just down the pike, and I think Wart is somewhere in the area as well. I think we should meet someplace neat like the West Side Market or some other foodie site.

Anyway, here was my ethnic din-din tonight. Hungarian rice sausage (Hurka) and home fried potatoes. Also had a great salad and some fresh cake mix cookies (Carrot cake mix with oatmeal, granola and golden raisins.)

Name a time, date and restaurant and I will be there. What about Michael Symon's--a bit pricey but the food is wonderful!

I grilled up all the eggplant I bought yesterday, which almost didn't make it to the table-I was eating it as it came off the grill,
and 2 1" thick, grilled lamb chops. I'm not a lamb lover, but they looked so pretty in the store, I just had to have em. They were delish! And as I didn't get around to eating my artichoke, or anything last night, I grilled that too. First time for that. But the last too. Didn't like how it came out.
Boy, was I stuffed!
