Thanks for the reminder, John! Last week, my friend Christine gave me a bottle of pre-mixed Old Fashions, since one of her friends said it was good. It is - very good!

Tomorrow I'll save the peel from my breakfast mandarin for garnishes.

Knob Creek is one of my favorites. I’ve not had any bourbon since early summer. Maybe this weekend…
 
We’re making pies and kolaches today and will freeze kolaches for later. Peter will take two pies to Amelia’s other grandmother’s and I’m making a mincemeat pie for us. Nancy made the mincemeat from scratch, canned it this summer, and it’s quite good. We will have leftovers tomorrow. There are some Smithfield ham slices, too. We’ll see?
 
I had posted a pic of the gifts Jeff got for me earlier, but everything looked crammed together on the table.
He got me a Blue Diamond frying pan, a Pioneer Woman tea kettle, some snickerdoodle truffles and one of those large holiday tins of 3 different flavours of popcorn.
I told him to not get me anything, but he never listens lol
