Found the picture but the recipe is unreadable. I think I can manage without it. :mrgreen:

Yup, that's an old time add and "recipe" technique. Aunt Jemima is considererd racist now. If we were short on bacon, my mom would chop up what we had and add it to the batter.

Rath, in Waterloo, has been closed down for years. Kids from my home town would leave after graduation to work there and John Deere.
 
To tell the truth I was so fixated on the bacon I didn't see anything else!

Mom then I have been making nibblet corn and bacon pancakes/waffles for MANY years :in_love:. SO good!!
 
Yesterday was National Pancake Day and I missed it. Tonight will be Swedish Pancakes and bacon and will do the pot roast tomorrow, if I don't have to teach. :readytoeat:
