Chicken and Dumplings.
My mother used to make it, but her dumplings were the biscuits in a tube. Laid on top of the stew, not real dumplings. I’m not sure that she didn’t use a can of soup for the gravy either.
Mine was the real deal.

I went retro - but with an update!
Remember tuna noodle casserole? Canned tuna, canned mushroom soup, handful of peas, topped with cheese or bread crumbs. Sometimes if you wanted to dress it up, you tossed in a can of mushrooms.
I made my own mushroom cream sauce, added porcini powder, sautéed fresh mushrooms, used an excellent mustard cheddar mixed with the breadcrumbs. And pole & line caught tuna.
Judy declared it excellent!
