Decided to make brunch, and go shopping a bit later.

Brunch was English muffin (toasted and buttered), tomato, corned beef hash topped with over-easy eggs, fried potatoes, and onions.

I've never made - much less eaten a flat iron steak before.
I called the trusty "all things meat cookery" expert, my son Ty.
He didn't hesitate to say " let it sit out for about half an hour, toss it in a medium heated pan in a full 3 T of butter, slightly increase the heat a little and do it 3 minutes per side, then let it rest for a full 10 minutes".
Perfect! 😁 He knows I like my steaks medium/medium rare.
Sweet potato and a romaine, cuke and radish salad as well
I'm enjoying the heck out of this 😊

Today may be pot roast. Maybe, at the moment, my head is stuffed up, and my stomach is upset. I have to find something easy on the tummy for breakfast.

The pot roast is in the oven. I hope it turns out good. I’ve never made one in the oven.

I haven't made a pot roast in the oven for years.
Always do mine in the crock pot, just throw it in with the vegs and seasonings and forget about it for hours.
