Whats on your plate 9/8/10?

i have to stop by a friend's house to take some pics of her new morkie puppy (a portmanteau of maltese and yorkie), so i won't be home in time to cook anything.
so, my guess is i'll be eating leftover pulled pork.

when i do get home, i have some veal that dw wants me to make into a brown gravy-like stew for thursday's dinner, so i'll be researching recipes for that.

anyone have a tnt veal stew recipe?

It's burger and beer night up at the pub. Although I probably have to take it easy on the beer tonight. After dinner wifey goes bowling and I've got a pickup skate for an hour. I've tried to play hockey after having a few before... It wasn't pretty.

(Ok, it's NEVER pretty.... but this was worse than normal! :))

thanks kimchee. copied and saved.

i was thinking of doing something along those lines using the veal cubes, but adding some veggies and potatoes to make it into a kind of stew. i'll use that recipe as a guide to start.

I'm putting some beef in marinade for Korean beef, and then I'm going to make Peeps' sesame noodles to go with. But I need to find some green onions....

That sounds like a nice combo! I hope you can find the green onions.

Now that the Italian affair has been postponed, I don't know.
Probably some chili and a pbj..

Burger with cheese, pickle chips & ketchup on a poppy seed Kaiser Roll, mixed greens dressed with black olives & buttermilk ranch dressing and stuffed tomato.

Mmm Peeps!
Still haven't made any dinner yet. Don't know what I want.
That burger sure looks good, so you're going to make me go out for a big fat Papa Burger, aren't ya? lol

Leftovers.. we have Greek pasta and Japanese chicken terriaki!

Change of plans... Greek and Japanese will have to wait until tomorrow. :heart:Hubby just invited me to go to Mexican with him and one of his work partners! LOL... it'll be an hour or two of geeky nerd talk so I might have to add some tequlia to the menu.:smile::smile::smile::smile::smile:

Thank you Sass!! LOL Sorry TeeHee  I made 2 stuffed tomatoes and we each had 1/2. But that wouldn't have looked so nice next to the burger. LOL

Ended up running up to A&W and getting a creamed shredded chickie sandwich, and cheese curds.

Oh wow, meatloaf night in Maine and Alabama! Your burger looks luscious, Peeps, and I LOVE that stuffed tomato. LL, hope you enjoy your Mexican food - you DO know your way around a Mexican menu. Sass - you can get CHEESE CURDS at A & W? Oh, I love cheese curds - we used to get them from the Tillamook Cheese Factory in Oregon. Yummy.

I did find some nice green onions, but no Chinese noodles, so I used spaghetti noodles, which were OK, I think. Cooked some Korean BBQ beef, Peeps' noodles and some zucchini for color. Peeps' noodles are AWESOME. (I added a few red pepper flakes for zestiness and color). Can't wait to have the leftovers cold tomorrow for lunch.

Interesting afternoon of watching a screening of the 1939 Hunchback of Notre Dame and then The Big Uneasy ( documentary)... dinner was meatballs and ravioli....with Red Gravy...

Karen and Peeps, your dinners look amazing, as usual!

Smoked a meatloaf on my new grill! I forgot to turn off the little tv in my kitchen before I took the pics, so that's the blue glow you'll see on the beans. :bonk:

Thank you Karen!!

Your meal looks AMAZING Karen!! I need that beef recipe!! Its fine to sub thin pasta for the chinese noodles so long as they absorb the dressing well. I was thinking of maybe trying angel hair pasta. I am glad you like the sesame noodles. Is your beef recipe posted somewhere on NCT? If not will you share?
