Who uses even smaller appliances when there's not much food prep to do?

In other words, if you're not making a very large meal, do your mini appliances & gadgets get you through prep enough where you wouldn't need your large appliances such as the regular size mixer, food processor, etc? After all, who in the world would want to have to keep on dragging out the big heavy mixer or food processor just to prep food for just yourself or two people? That's work in & of itself!!

If I have several things that I want to mince, like making tapenade or pico de gallo for examples, I use my small food chopper.

Most of the time, I just use a chef's knife.

Yesterday, I chopped up some onion, bell pepper & celery, but I used the small pull-string chopper to do it with. I baked some chicken, which had prompted me to write this thread to find out who else would do it. :whistling:
