Whats on your menu 8/28/10?

Everyone's meals look wonderful!

We had salmon with an Asian marinade of Mirin, soy sauce, garlic, shallots, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and a touch of fish sauce.

I made a side of shrimp and pasta with a lemon butter and white wine sauce for DH.

SO many nice dinners tonight! I just ate, and my mouth is watering for that wonderful pork! We went out for dinner tonight, joined by daughter Justine and friend Lisa. I had a pasta dish with giant prawns, Jerry had sea bass Mediterranean, Justine had sea bass with a creamy tarragon sauce, and Lisa had Chicken Parmigiana. Had stuffed mushroom and grilled shrimp appetizers and key lime pie for dessert. All very delicious and I don't have to clean up the kitchen (-:

Littlenecks got sucked down with hot sauce... pic sucks but I assure you they were really good... too good to cook

Mussels in shallot garlic butter w/white wine over fresh linguni so simple and so good. I really need to get down there more often.. this is going to be a good week... cant wait to break into the broccoli rabe/parmesan sausage

Thank you Pancho!! I love clams on the 1/2 - splash lemon, shot Franks, shoot the clam!! YUMMY!!

I rested the tri-tip way too long while I was enjoying some cheap wine and preparing some pizza. It was overdone for my taste but the rest of my family loved it as they prefer their meat destroyed.
I blackened the crust by grilling 100% over direct heat and turning frequently. The tri-tip was seasoned with kosher salt, pepper, and granulated garlic.

Clearly, it's next to impossible to remember to take pictures when you're entertaining, as well. I have sad few pictures of the feast from last night. What I do find on the camera will be posted after Lou and I burn the house down.

Oh yes..kudos to everyone! Plates look wonderful!

So true - it's a little awkward when we have guests to throw mtself between them and the food and say, "WAIT. I have to take pictures for my cooking friends!" "Oh," I can hear them thinking, "Are these real friends or imaginary friends? She's becoming more and more peculiar as she gets older...."
