What's cooking wednesday, September 9, 2009?

No, I don't Cooksie. I just squeeze some lemon over it.

If I make a sauce then it turns into a type of pork picatta. LOL

Dinner:

Shell steak done on the stovetop cast iron grill pan, homemade rice-roni, steamed veggies - carrots, cauliflower and broccoli.

Lol--I use waxed paper and the smooth side of the mallet, but I know what you mean .

Ahhh, I thought you were supposed to use the textured side of the mallet... I'll have to change my technique.

Zucchini with goat cheese on top and laying on a bed of grilled romaine.
Spaghetti with a lot of smoked stuff in it, which surprisingly did not make it overbearingly smokey tasting.
I am stuffed

lol, that's more complicated than what I was going to say. I was going to tell him to turn on oven, put spaghetti in. :yum:

Sorry Lefty...

You've got that inside steak down pat, Peeps.
And gawd, I was a fiend for chicken flavored rice a roni... Looks good.

If the rain holds off I'll be grilling some chicken otherwise I'll be using the broiler. I'm not sure what I'll have with it. I should look in the garden and see what I can pick.
I have to go to the store later to buy flour to make more bread so maybe I'll find something then.

I grilled the chicken and grilled carrots and baby reds.

There's a couple left Peeps..........you're welcome to them. They're my favorite......

Pork Schnitzel with a sour cream/dill sauce:

I followed the recipe posted earlier (except for using pork tenderloin instead of the chops), and this was really good. I'd do it again for sure.

Nice chicken, HC.

Now I must try that zucchini, Chow. Looks like the breading worked out perfectly.

Outstanding Cooksie! The sauce sounds good.

It is a good sauce. It's not as smooth looking as the one in the recipe picture. I had a lot of crunchies left in the pan, maybe because I used panko instead of bread crumbs. Still tasted good though. Thanks!
