Whats cooking Wednesday November 18, 2009?

i have my t-bones marinating. i am just waiting for my daughter to get home from CCD (my older daughter is picking her up from the church). then the steaks go under the broiler, the mixed veggies get steamed and the farfalle gets cooked and tossed with butter, grated romano and parmesan cheeses.

Ohhhhhhh!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see the pictures! :in_love:

Peepers cooks a mean indoor steak for sure, Mama.

This was also a first. Spreading out newspapers to eat inside. I love it! Catches all the butter splatter before it can coagulate on the table.
A quick shot before I dove in. And damn right I nuked the butter, I'm a guy eating in his sweat pants here :sorry: No need to break out the butter warmers.

Loved the roasted cauliflower, too. I ate what wasn't in the pic standing at the counter, rinsing plates and watching them cook rippers on TV. Wow, a whole head...

Broiled T-Bone, farfalle tossed with butter, sour cream and snipped chives (decided against the cheese) and buttered mixed veggies.

I rubbed steaks with olive oil front and back then a nice dusting of my grinder blend that I mix up and put into my grinder (grinder set on medium course grind):

4 or 5 Pepper corn blend (depends where i get them)
Sea salt (Large crystals)
Garlic (Dry Minced )
Onion (Dry Minced )
Thyme (Dry Leaves)
Rosemary (Dry Leaves)
Parsley (Dry)
Red pepper flakes

Then I pierce the heck out of the steaks with a two tined cooking fork to push the spices into them.

Then I make a dip sauce of:

A-1 Steak Sauce
Worcestershire Sauce
Soy sauce
Magi Seasoning sauce
Red Wine vinegar
Liquid hickory smoke

I mix it up to taste.

I drizzled a bit of the dip on one side of the steak and pierce the steaks again and then let them sit for a little while (these sat about a 1/2 hour give or take). The rest was used to dip in.

thank you mama!! there was steak left over so it will be used to make a red meat gravy.

I had a piece of roast beef with gravy and mash, and some pretty good asparagus, considering it was nursing home food. lol
