What's cooking Tuesday, September 15, 2009?

I really need to get around to making that mac and cheese recipe. I'll need some kind of meat though. Not sure yet I guess.
 
Black-eyed peas, fresh collard greens, cornbread & smoked pork chops!
I got a hankering for some southern food and this happens to be my hubbys favorite! :wink:
 
i asked dw to make the chicken parm we didn't make the other day. she said she'd try, but i'd forgotten that she's hosting a little play date with some of my boy's new friends from school. it'll probably be the last day for the ool.

at least i got the turtle tank cleaned so he can show off his new goldfish. dw bought some feeder fish for the turtle a few weeks ago, but the dumb beast doesn't know what to do with them. so now i have a turtle/goldfish tank. he won a new fancier goldfish at a church festival on sunday, so it's the interest of the moment to him. i'll be back to taking care of them in a few days.

if dw's tied up, i offered to pick up something on the way home. italian, thai, indian, mexican, hmmmm. maybe greek. silversage's got me craving souvlaki.
 
Well if I dont put away this bag of fritos soon I may have to skip dinner......

I dunno.... I suppose I should give it some thought BEFORE 3pm this time.....

I'm still trying to decide. It's between hot dogs, hamburgers, Marlboro Man's sandwich or omelets. LOL

Like the Pioneer Woman's Marlboro Man???? If so, that sandwich looks like it's to die for! I love her site.
 
I've been in a meeting all day at work and was starving when we wrapped up.
So, I stopped at the A&W and got a footlong with the works, and fries:brows:

Now excuse me, I have some damage to do to this plate lol

OMG, lol. Now you've got me thinking....Subway sandwiches tonight, it's hot out! :biggrin:
 
I haven't seen a foot long hot dog in years. Our A & W and Dog n Suds closed years ago. I used to like stopping at those joints when I was in that neck of the woods. I loved their root beer, too.

Beats me, Barb. They were given to me.

Is dinner ready?! Not my dinner (lol). My pork loins are still thawing. I decided to make some loins breaded like I do chicken fried steak, along with that mac and cheese. And since the oven will be on, corn in the oven.
There's pleeeeenty of time...
 
Marianne and Jim have arrived..........

I made a pot of pasta fagioli last night for dinner tonight. We just finished that with chunks of bread, olives and cheese.
